From her children’s bracelets at birth to family heirloom jewelry, Anouk has always had a special connection to coral.
Coral is an organic gemstone, valued since ancient times for its mystical powers and healing properties. Besides its spiritual and cultural significance, coral reefs are crucial ecosystems on the planet and are often referred to as “rainforests of the sea.” However, climate change, pollution, and overfishing are putting them at risk.
Anouk’s unique artwork aims to raise awareness of the coral reefs’ importance and the threats they face. Coral reefs provide diverse marine life with a vital home, and the threats they face need to be addressed.
